Fried apples and ginger with butterscotch sauce

A fabulous combination of piquant apples with extra zap, sweet butterscotch sauce and ice cold vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients


  • 3-4 apples, cored and sliced
  • 1,5 tbsp ground ginger
  • 2 tbsp margarine
Butterscotch sauce
  • 300 g dark muscovado sugar
  • 100 g margarine
  • 100 ml Oatly Oat Alternative to cream
Side dish
  • Vanilla ice cream

Here’s how

1. Fry the apples until golden brown in margarine and ginger. Mix sugar and margarine in a saucepan
2. Allow them to melt while stirring on medium heat
3. Whisk in Oatly Oat Alternative to cream
4. Allow to simmer on low heat for 5 minutes
5. Whisk until fluffy
6. Layer the ice cream, apples, and sauce in bowls.
7. Serve right away.
