Warm up this winter with a hearty soup

When the temperature drops, there’s nothing like a hot bowl of soup to warm you up. With the Food Standards Agency recommending that we all cut down on the amount of saturated fat we eat, make sure that your soup does you good as well as tasting yummy by using Oatly oat drinks rather than dairy or soya products.

Oatly is high in fibre, low in saturated fat and is cholesterol lowering: just one 250ml glass of Oatly provides a third (1g) of the daily requirement of beta-glucans (soluble fibre) for cholesterol reduction. Eating a diet that is high in saturated fat can raise the level of cholesterol in your blood over time, which increases your chance of developing heart disease.

Made from the finest Swedish oats, Oatly oat drinks are naturally low in saturated fat:
• Oatly Organic has 0.7 % fat per 100ml of which 0.1 % is saturated
• Oatly Enriched has 1.5 % fat per 100ml of which 0.2 % is saturated
• Oatly Chocolate has 1.5 % fat per 100ml of which 0.2 % is saturated
• Oatly Organic Dairy-Free Alternative to Cream per 100g has 13 % fat of which 3 % is saturated

Oatly Fish Chowder is filling enough to be served as a main course. Other vegetables can be slipped in such as chopped leeks, carrots or celery if wished. A great dish to get children to eat fish: mackerel is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids which can help keep the heart and brain healthy. It is also rich in Vitamin D which is essential for strong bones.
